Champion tracking

Where have our champions gone, and who just arrived in an account we care about?

A champion leaving a customer puts that account at risk, and the same person arriving somewhere new is the warmest opening a seller gets. Both are one fact read in two directions, and the record holds the seats on either side of the move.

Who decidesThe mapWhich teams

Follow the people who backed you when they move, and see who has just arrived in a seat that reviews suppliers, with every seat verified in role.

What you can run

8 jobs this record does, in the words the work is described in.

Each one is a read of the same account record rather than a separate product, and each carries the method that produced every line and the date it was last read.

01Follow a champion who leaves a customer, and see where they land.
02See who has arrived in a seat that reviews suppliers at a target account.
03Find the former colleagues and former customers already inside an account you are working.
04Check that the seat which sponsored your work is still filled, before the renewal.
05Spot a newly created function, where the seat has no predecessor.
06Read the layer beneath an executive, so one departure does not blank the account.
07Open a conversation with someone who already knows what you do.
08Separate the people in seat from the people a contact list still shows as current.
What the model returns
01
The move

Where a person sat before, where they sit now, and the date the record last confirmed it.

02
The replacement

Who holds the seat they left, with the reporting line graded separately from the employment.

03
The warm path

Former colleagues and former customers now inside an account you are working.

04
The new function

Seats created with no predecessor, which is usually where a new budget has appeared.

Who asks this

Sellers working a named target account
Partner and alliance teams tracking a shared relationship
How this is done today

Three ways teams answer this now, and where each one runs out.

The usual approachWhere it breaks
A job-change alert fires on a contact list.It covers the contacts already loaded, and it says nothing about who took the seat they left.
A seller notices the move on a social feed.Whoever happens to be connected sees it, and nobody else does.
The champion is recorded in a CRM field. That field is accurate until the day they leave, and nothing updates it afterwards.

Common questions

Common questions

The people already held in the record for an account, which is the executive layer and the seats beneath it that own programs. It is not a feed of every job change everywhere.

A current role is one with no end date on a public record, re-read on a cadence. A most-recent role is not treated as current, which is the error that leaves departed people on a live map.
