How to use Zylabs

From your first session to advanced workflows. Can’t find an answer? Email hello@zylabs.ai— we read every message.

01

Welcome to Zylabs

Zylabs finds the accounts that are in-market for what you sell, right now, and tells you why each one made the list. Instead of static lead databases, Zylabs reads live signals across the market — datacenter lease expiry disclosed, VMware renewal cost spike, funding events, leadership changes, hiring spikes, tech migrations, and more — and turns them into a ranked list of buyers with the reason attached.

This guide covers everything from your first session to advanced workflows. If you can’t find an answer here, email hello@zylabs.ai — we read every message.

02

Getting started: your first session

Your first buyer list is about 5 minutes away. Here’s the full flow:

01
Create your account

Sign up with your work email at app.zylabs.ai.

02
Tell us what you sell

Paste your website URL. Zylabs reads your site to understand your offer, category, and likely buyers — no forms, no CSV uploads.

03
Confirm your target market

Review the market profile Zylabs inferred (industry, region, company size). Adjust anything that looks off — this sharpens your first scan.

04
Run your first scan

Zylabs scans its source network for accounts showing active buying signals that match your offer, and returns your first ranked buyer list.

Tip. The more you add, the more precise the list. You can add documents, refine your market profile in Settings, and re-run the scan.

03

Understanding your buyer list

Every account on your list carries a reason — the evidence for why it’s in-market. Reasons are built from three kinds of signal:

Anchor
The primary trigger event (e.g., a new VP of Engineering, a funding round, an office expansion).
Corroborators
Supporting signals that strengthen the anchor (e.g., related job postings, tech stack changes).
Timing
How fresh the signals are, and the window in which outreach is most likely to land.

Accounts are ranked by the strength of their reason — not just firmographic fit. A smaller account with a strong, fresh anchor will outrank a “perfect fit” account showing no buying signals.

Find your accounts

Hunt is where your buyer lists live. Run scans, filter and sort accounts, inspect the reason behind each one, and shortlist the accounts you want to pursue.

Contact them, with the reason built in

Reach drafts outreach that leads with the account's reason — so your first message sounds like you've done the research (because Zylabs has). Messages send from your own LinkedIn, on your approval. Review every draft before it is sent. Nothing goes out without your approval by default.

Common questions
Where does Zylabs get its data?
From 500+ public and licensed sources such as news, filings, hiring data, technographic signals, and more. Every reason links to its evidence.
How is Zylabs different from Clay, Apollo, or 6sense?
Those tools give you contact data or account-level intent scores. Zylabs gives you the reason — named, evidenced, and fresh — then helps you act on it in the same place. You don't get a score of 87; you get “new CRO, three RevOps roles posted this month, migrating off [competitor].”
